Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account info: the email and password you sign up with.
• Photos you upload: stored so we can process your scan and let you add more photos later.
• Scan results: the items, values, and taste profile generated from your photos.
• Payment info: if you unlock a clean card, your payment is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details, only that a payment happened.

How we use it

Your photos are sent to a third-party AI vision provider (Google Gemini or Anthropic Claude, depending on configuration) to identify the items in them. Identified items are looked up against Discogs and eBay for rough pricing data, with an AI estimate as a fallback when no market data is found. None of this shares your account information (email, password) with those services — only the item details needed to identify or price them.

We use your email solely to authenticate you and communicate about your account. We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use your photos or scan results for anything beyond generating and improving your own card.

Affiliate links

Scan results may include a “you might also like” section suggesting items you don't already own, with links to eBay and Amazon. As an eBay Partner and Amazon Associate, we may earn a commission if you purchase through those links, at no additional cost to you.

Third parties we rely on

Google (Gemini) and Anthropic (Claude) for item identification and suggestions; Discogs and eBay for pricing data; Stripe for payments; Convex for our database and file storage; and Vercel for hosting. Each handles data according to their own privacy policies.

Cookies & sessions

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your data, your control

You can correct or remove individual items from a scan at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at stashprintapp@gmail.com and we'll take care of it.

Children's privacy

StashPrint isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
